Civil Society Partners
The global acceptance and call for microbicides is owed in large part to the efforts of civil society partnerships that work with us and other like-minded organizations to raise awareness about the need for new HIV prevention technologies, particularly for womenÌýwho face high risk.Ìý
IPM’s civil society partnersÌýwork tirelessly with donors, policymakers, academic institutions, product development partnerships, other civil society organizations and nonprofits to create positive and receptive environments for microbicide research and development, and potential introduction where they are needed most.
Value of civil society partnerships
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.Ìý
IPM partners with numerous civil society and advocacyÌýorganizations based in Africa, Europe and North America.
Our partners organize activities at the national level for key stakeholder groups to foster public support for needed HIV prevention technologies like microbicides.
IPM also works with our partners to strengthen research literacyÌýaround the complexities of HIV biomedical research.
